Tracer Gas Leak Detection

Finding leaks in vacuum systems or hermetically sealed components is as much art as science. While helium (or hydrogen) tracer gas leak detection is the most effective way to find leaks in vessels, it takes a skilled technician to get the most effective results. MBTS experts have decades of experience finding leaks in vacuum systems.

Proving that hermetically sealed devices are not leaking is a demanding task. Helium leak detection is the most sensitive and fastest way to do this work. Helium bomb type testing is a common method. MBTS experts can provide training, advice, date interpretation and troubleshooting hermeticity testing.

MBTS will perform on-site leak testing in selected locations. Contact us for service availability.

MTBS experts can also assist with other leak detection methods such as pressure decay, rate-of-rise and air leak testing. These methods are useful for leak testing vessels and enclosures that cannot be evacuated like fuel tanks, electronics cabinets food and pharmaceutical packaging.

Tracer gas sniffing is a method that is used for piping, radiators, oil coolers, heat exchangers and mechanical devices.
