About Terry

Terry built his first vacuum system in high school 50 years ago, and has worked in all aspects of vacuum technology since then with the leading manufacturers of vacuum equipment and the most advanced users of vacuum technology. He has designed, built and operated vacuum process equipment from blank paper to running in full scale high technology production. He started as a process and equipment engineer working in computer chip and electronic packaging development and manufacturing. He is experienced in evaporation and sputter coating applications, as well as CVD and etch. He also is expert in contamination control technologies used in microelectronic fabrication.

As a sales engineer he supported advanced physics projects, aerospace and automotive manufacturing processes, and wear, optical and architectural glass coating processes. He is expert in tracer gas leak detection used in operating vacuum systems and for validation of hermetically sealed devices. Terry is skilled in the use of quadrupole mass spectrometers to perform residual gas analysis for process control. This expertise is applied using statistical process control to enhance productivity in manufacturing processes.
